About the Author

Lynn Berry has over 35 years of experience as a professor and coordinator with Algonquin College. She is the co-author of Legal Transcription in Canada, Medical Office Billing, Medical Office Administration: Simulated Projects, Administrative Assistant: Simulated Projects, and Canadian Medical Transcription. Lynn was instrumental in the development of the Health Services Diploma program at Algonquin College and is passionate about curriculum and career development.

Cindy Johnston-Laplante has worked for over 40 years in the medical field. She graduated from Algonquin College’s ECE program prior to training at the Civic Hospital School of Nursing. Cindy has worked in a variety of medical departments as a clerk and an RPN in both inpatient and outpatient care settings. She is presently working at the Queensway Carleton Hospital as a medical biller and a professor within the Office Administration – Health Service diploma program at Algonquin College. Cindy is the co-author of Medical Office Administration: Simulated Projects and Medical Office Billing.

Sandy Miller has over 35 years’ experience as a professor and corporate trainer with ten different educational and corporate training facilities in three provinces and overseas. She is currently a professor of office administration at Algonquin College. Sandy is the co-author of Medical Office Billing, Medical Office Administration: Simulated Projects, and Administrative Assistant: Simulated Projects. She is passionate about curriculum development leading to student success, and she loves to teach!
